Yes, a car is necessary — the cabin sits on a mountain road that’s paved, with solar lights on the driveway guiding you to the cabin. Because it’s a true mountain cabin, the roads leading up are steep and twisty, and the driveway itself is steep as well. We recommend a vehicle with AWD or 4WD year-round for the most comfortable drive, and during winter months (Thanksgiving through February), AWD/4WD, snow tires, or chains are required.
